KRATON CORP.: Terpene Phenolic Tackifiers

   SYLVARES™ 1000 Series terpene phenolic tackifiers are engineered for high-performance specialty pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) applications with solvent-based and hot-melt systems. These bio-based tackifiers offer balanced adhesion and cohesion across various difficult-to-bond substrates and temperature requirements. The low polarity terpene phenol resins enable enhanced adhesion and are available in a range of softening points providing formulation flexibility to meet application requirements.

    The terpene phenolic tackifiers are reportedly compatible across multiple polymer systems including styrenic block copolymers (SBC), solvent acrylics and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA).  These tackifiers can be used alone or in combination with other tackifiers, depending on the chosen polymer, to meet demanding PSA performance requirements.
