Fluoramics launches LOX-8 thread sealant for situations involving harsh-chemical where extreme acids or powerful oxidizers are used. The new thread sealant prevents stainless steel galling and is chemical-resistant.
Oxygen-safe, Waterproof Thread Sealant
The sealant can withstand high pressure, high-temperatures and cryogenic deep freeze temperatures. LOX-8 thread sealant is oxygen-safe, waterproof and versatile.
The sealant works great with oil-based systems, hydraulic oils and fuels. LOX-8 thread sealant is recommended for use as both a lubricant and as a sealant by The Chlorine Institute members. It is safe to use with PVC threads as a plastic pipe joint sealant but caution is advised to avoid over-tightening during use.
