The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) will celebrate ‘International Adhesive & Sealant Day’ the entire week leading up to September 29th in conjunction with European and Asian regional associations.
The Day Established at WAC 2022
International Adhesive & Sealant Day was established at the 2022 World Adhesive and Sealant Conference (WAC 2022) in Chicago, IL at the International Association Heads meeting.
The regional adhesive and sealant associations – FEICA, ARAC, ASC – will each celebrate this important day throughout the world together with national associations such as JAIA in Japan.
“Every day we as a society rely upon adhesives and sealants for thousands of necessities, from our homes and offices to the vehicles we drive to the packaging that protects our food to the mobile devices we use,” says Bill Allmond, ASC’s president. “Adhesives and sealants are invisible, but they are utilized everywhere,” he said. “International Adhesive and Sealant Day is an opportunity for all of us, around the world, to pause and celebrate the countless ways our industry’s products make daily living not only possible but better.”
The official U.S. celebratory website of ‘International Adhesive & Sealant Day’ showcases the many uses of adhesives and sealants, the size and scope of the market, an “adhesives 101” video, how adhesives and sealants contribute to and enable sustainability benefits in countless products and industries, and resources to learn more about these innovative products.
This year ACS will feature a ‘Social Wall’ on the website with all of the celebratory posts from the industry.
